IndonesiaConsult (IndoCon) participated in the world’s
leading organic fair, the BIOFACH, by
assisting the Indonesian delegation and
joining the 44,000 visitors from 136 countries
and the 2,348 exhibitors in Nürnberg, Germany
from February 11 up February 14, 2015.
For
its fifth year of participation to expand the
network in the field of organic food and
beverage market, this year IndoCon provided assistance
to its partner Multi Rempah Sulawesi
(MRS)
MRS
exports
agricultural products particularly spices such
as nutmeg, mace and cloves. It works closely
with the farmers and provides training in
environmental and climate issues for a
better sustainability and quality
management.
"The nutmegs are in accordance with EU-Organic standards. We offer high quality products at a very competitive price and by aflatoxins and ochratoxin control. We are currently preparing the certification of white pepper”, MRS Owner Irwan Tosali said.

distribute
all certified products in Japan and the Netherlands. With the help of IndoCon, we are
expanding our market constantly
in Europe”, Mr. Tosali added.
The
Ministery
of Agriculture (MOA), Indonesian Trade
Promotion Centre (ITPC) and Trade Attache Indonesian Embassy in Berlin
sponsored the 56-square meter
Indonesian booth, where the four exhibitors
presented their top quality products during
the four-day fair.
Likewise,
Deputy Head of ITPC Mr. Fadjar took in charge
the said booth together with Nürnberg Messe
Representative, Ms. Paula Jahja and IndoCon's
representative Ms. Dwi Anoraganingrum from the
preparation day until the fair ended.
Aside from MRS, three other Indonesian
exhibitors joined the Indonesian booth: Salacca Sleman which offers Salacca fruit, Rembyung Sakha which deals with Organic Arenga Red Ginger Cocktail, Organic Arenga Palm Sugar, Organic Flores Cashew Nuts, Organic Rice, and natural Coconut Oil and Coco Sugar which supplies bulk of organic coconut
sugar.
To help the ITPC and MOA in estimating the
market need of Indonesian Organic Products,
all the exhibitors were required to submit a
daily report.
The trade
potential from three counters (Multi Rempah
Sulawesi, Rembyung Sakha and Coco Sugar ) reached
to seven million US Dollar, based on data
collected from the visitors of Indonesian
booth for four days.
Beside the
Indonesian booth, there were also five
Indonesian companies: PT Megainovasi Karya
Mandiri, PT Harendong Green Farm, PT. Bukit
Sari, PT Kampung Kearifan Indonesia and PT
Tripper Natur joined the Swiss Import Promotion
Program (SIPPO).
All Indonesian participants were also invited
in welcome dinner, supported by the trade
attache of the Indonesian Embassy, Berlin.
Additionally,
Berlin’s trade attache Ms. Lita Siregar and
Frankfurt’s Consulate General Mrs. Wahyu
Hersetiati visited the Indonesian booth.
At the end
of fair, TVOne Reporter Miranti Hirschmann
visited the booth and interviewed the
consulate general of Frankfurt as well as some
Indonesian participants. It is also reported
